Description
Enough heat for a full-size home sauna, controlled from the wall outside the door.
The Harvia Virta HL80 is a floor-standing 8 kW electric heater for a mid-to-large home sauna — about 177 to 430 cubic feet, with a ceiling of at least 6'7". It stands on the sauna floor, which is what lets it carry 110 pounds of stone. That stone mass is the difference between soft, sustained löyly and a thin burst of steam that vanishes. The casing is stainless steel and the heating elements sit in a removable tray, so an element swap years down the line is straightforward service work.
This is the Ultimate package: the HL80 heater, the Harvia Xenio CX45-U1-U3 digital control, the sauna stones, and the Harvia Virta HL3S safety railing, all in one order. The 8 kW is the middle of the Virta range and the most common choice for a four-to-six person room. Smaller space? Look at the 6 kW Virta. Larger, or heavy on glass and log wall? The 9 kW Virta.
Why buy this one from Renewal Cove
Authorized Harvia dealer stock with the full manufacturer warranty intact — 2 years general coverage, 3 years on the heater in family use when you register within 30 days, and 1 year on spare parts. It ships free to the lower 48 by curbside LTL freight, it hardwires to a dedicated 240 V circuit rather than plugging in, and we'll help you size it against your room's actual dimensions and get the warranty registered.
What you get
- Sized for a full family sauna — about 177 to 430 cubic feet (5.0–12.2 m³) with a minimum 6'7" ceiling.
- Deep stone bed — 110 lbs of Ø5–10 cm stones, included, for steam that carries through a ladle.
- Digital control included — the Harvia Xenio CX45-U1-U3 wall control ships in the box, not as an upsell.
- Safety railing included — the Harvia Virta HL3S guard keeps benches and skin clear of the hot casing.
- Built to be serviced — removable heating element tray, so element replacement doesn't mean pulling the heater apart.
- Stainless steel, made by Harvia in Finland — the largest sauna manufacturer in the world.

FAQ
What size sauna room does an 8 kW heater actually handle? About 177 to 430 cubic feet with a ceiling of at least 6'7". Glass doors and uninsulated log walls add to the effective volume, so measure before you choose.
Should I get the 8 kW or the 9 kW? Same chassis and control. Go 9 kW if your room is over 430 cubic feet or has significant glass or uninsulated wall; otherwise the 8 kW is the right call.
Do I need an electrician? Yes. This is a hardwired 240 V single-phase heater drawing roughly 33 A. It does not plug into an outlet.
Is the control included, and does it do Wi-Fi? The Xenio CX45 wall control is included. Wi-Fi and phone control need Harvia's separate CX004WIFI module, which is not in this package — ask us and we'll quote it with your order.
Are the stones included? Yes, three boxes of Ø5–10 cm sauna stones ship with the heater. No separate stone order needed.
How does delivery work? It ships by LTL freight to the curb — the carrier calls to schedule and unloads at truck-bed height. See the Shipping tab below for full details.
What's the warranty? 2 years general, 3 years on the heater in family use, 1 year on spare parts — see the Warranty & Returns tab below for full coverage, and register within 30 days of purchase to activate it.

Free curbside freight delivery to the lower 48. Standard freight shipping on this item is free anywhere in the contiguous United States. Orders to Alaska, Hawaii, U.S. territories, or remote and limited-access addresses may require a shipping quote. If yours does, we will contact you with the exact cost before we charge anything, and you are free to cancel for a full refund.
How it is delivered. Because of its size and weight, this ships as a crated shipment by LTL freight carrier rather than a parcel service. The carrier calls to schedule a delivery appointment, so give us a good phone number at checkout and plan to have someone available to receive it. Freight is curbside delivery: the driver brings the crate to the end of your driveway or the curb. Carriers do not bring freight into a garage, backyard, basement, or interior room, and the driver is not permitted to help you move it.
Getting it off the truck. Please read this before you order. Standard curbside freight does not include liftgate service, which means the crate comes off at truck-bed height and getting it down is on you. These crates are heavy. You have three options. Add liftgate service for an additional fee: contact us before you order, or right after, and we will quote you the exact amount. We will never add it to your total without telling you first. Or have two or three people plus a ramp or equipment ready at delivery. Or pick the shipment up at your local freight terminal, where their dock equipment loads it for you at no charge. If you are not sure which makes sense for your address, call 801-708-0090 and we will sort it out with you.
Inspect before you sign. Look the shipment over at delivery. If you see any damage, note it on the carrier's delivery receipt (the Bill of Lading) before you sign, take photos, and keep all packaging. You have 7 days from delivery to report damage to us, including concealed damage you find after uncrating, and we will resolve it with the carrier at no cost to you.
Delivery timing is shown in the estimated delivery window on this page. Sauna heaters, stones, and accessories may be ordered and shipped separately from the main unit.
