Description

Real Finnish steam in your own sauna room, set from a digital wall control.

The Harvia Virta HL60 is a floor-standing electric heater built for a medium home sauna — roughly 177 to 294 cubic feet, with a ceiling of at least 6'7". Because it stands on the sauna floor instead of hanging on a wall, it carries a deep bed of stones: 110 pounds of them. That mass is what gives you soft, sustained löyly when you ladle water on, rather than a sharp hiss that dies in seconds. The casing is stainless steel, and the heating elements sit in a tray that pulls out, so replacing an element years from now is a service visit and not a demolition job.

This is the Ultimate package, which means it arrives as a complete kit rather than a bare heater: the HL60, the Harvia Xenio CX45-U1-U3 digital control, the sauna stones, and the Harvia Virta HL3S safety railing that keeps benches and bodies off the hot casing. The 6 kW is the entry point of the Virta family. If your room runs larger than 294 cubic feet, or has a lot of glass or uninsulated log wall, size up to the 8 kW Virta or the 9 kW Virta.

Why buy this one from Renewal Cove

Authorized Harvia dealer stock with the full manufacturer warranty intact — 2 years general coverage, 3 years on the heater in family use when you register within 30 days, and 1 year on spare parts. It ships free to the lower 48 by curbside LTL freight, it hardwires to a dedicated 240 V circuit rather than plugging in, and we'll help you size it against your room's actual dimensions and get the warranty registered.

What you get

  • Sized for a medium sauna room — 177 to 294 cubic feet (5.0–8.3 m³) with a minimum 6'7" ceiling.
  • Deep stone bed — 110 lbs of 5–10 cm stones, included, for soft steam that lasts through a ladle.
  • Digital control included — the Harvia Xenio CX45-U1-U3 wall control ships in the box, not as an upsell.
  • Safety railing included — the Harvia Virta HL3S guard keeps benches and skin clear of the hot casing.
  • Built to be serviced — removable heating element tray, so element replacement doesn't mean pulling the heater apart.
  • Stainless steel, made by Harvia in Finland — the largest sauna manufacturer in the world.

FAQ

What size sauna room does a 6 kW heater actually handle? 177 to 294 cubic feet with a ceiling of at least 6'7". Glass doors and uninsulated log walls add to the effective volume, so measure before you choose.

How is this different from the 8 kW Virta? Same chassis, same control, same stone bed — the 8 kW just covers a larger room, up to about 430 cubic feet.

Do I need an electrician? Yes. This is a hardwired 240 V single-phase heater drawing roughly 25 A. It does not plug into an outlet.

Is the control included, and does it do Wi-Fi? The Xenio CX45 wall control is included. Wi-Fi and phone control need Harvia's separate CX004WIFI module, which is not in this package — ask us and we'll quote it with your order.

Are the stones included? Yes, three boxes of 5–10 cm sauna stones ship with the heater. No separate stone order needed.

How does delivery work? It ships by LTL freight to the curb — the carrier calls to schedule and unloads at truck-bed height. See the Shipping tab below for full details.

What's the warranty? 2 years general, 3 years on the heater in family use, 1 year on spare parts — see the Warranty & Returns tab below for full coverage, and register within 30 days of purchase to activate it.

Harvia — Warranty & Returns

2-year Harvia manufacturer warranty — 3 years on electric heaters when you register. Every Harvia product we sell carries Harvia's own limited warranty against defects in materials and workmanship, running from the date of your original purchase. Sauna heaters, steam generators, heating products and control units are covered for 2 years; hot tubs and cold tubs, sauna rooms and accessories are also covered for 2 years; spare parts are covered for 1 year.

Register within 30 days for the third year. Harvia extends the warranty on family-use electric heaters from 2 years to 3 years if you register the product on Harvia's website within 30 days of purchase. We'll send you the registration link with your order — it takes a couple of minutes and it's worth doing.

Commercial and light-commercial use. If the sauna is used anywhere other than a private home, Harvia's non-consumer terms apply instead: 2 years on electrical heaters, steam generators and control units; 1 year on sauna rooms and accessories; 1 year on spare parts; 6 months on wood-burning heaters, hot and cold tubs, and heating elements. Coverage is set by how the product is actually used — Harvia's terms state the warranty expires immediately if the primary use changes from family to non-consumer, or the reverse, during the warranty period.

Installation requirement. Harvia requires that the product be installed and connected to the electrical network in accordance with Harvia's installation and operating manual and applicable regulations, by an authorized, qualified electrician. Installation that doesn't meet that standard voids the warranty, so please budget for a licensed electrician - we're happy to send the manual and the electrical spec before you order.

What isn't covered. Normal wear items including heating elements, timers, relays, light bulbs and sauna stones. Damage from failing to follow the installation or maintenance instructions. Damage in transport or storage. Natural characteristics of wood such as discoloration, cracks, shrinkage, and pitch or pitch pockets in spruce and pine. Repairs performed without approval or with non-original parts. Inadequate surface treatment on outdoor saunas. Damage caused by sauna stones that Harvia has not approved.

How to make a claim. Contact us first and we'll help you file it. Harvia handles claims through support.harvia.com and will need the product information, serial number, a description of the defect, proof of purchase, and whether the sauna is in family or commercial use. Report the defect within 2 months of discovering it (14 days for commercial buyers). Any defect visible before installation must be reported before the product is installed.

Returns. You can return an unused item in its original packaging within 30 days of delivery; a 15% restocking fee applies and return shipping is the customer's responsibility. Contact us to start a return and we'll walk you through it.

Arrived damaged? Inspect your delivery before you sign for it. Note any damage on the carrier's delivery receipt, keep all packaging, take photos, and contact us within 7 days of delivery so we can resolve it with the carrier. Harvia's warranty does not cover transport damage, so this window matters.
